Do you really move the furniture for me?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Beds, sofas, wardrobes, dining tables, bookcases, the lot. The only things we ask you to clear are personal items inside drawers and on shelves, and anything fragile or sentimental that you'd rather move yourself. Everything else, we handle.

Question 2

Do you take away the old carpet?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It's part of every job and included in the price. We lift it, roll it, and take it away with us. You don't need a skip and you don't need to make trips to the tip.

Question 3

How much does it cost to have a carpet fitted in Hastings?

Accepted Answer

Most rooms come in between £[X] and £[XX] fitted, including underlay, gripper, fitting, furniture moving, and old carpet removal. The exact price depends on the size of the room, the carpet you choose, and any tricky bits like stairs or awkward doors. Stuart gives you a fixed written price at the home visit, before any work starts.

How quickly can you come out and measure?

Usually within the same week, sometimes the next day depending on where you are. Stuart measures Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays across East Sussex and South Kent. Ring Lisa and she'll find you a slot.

Where do you cover?

Accepted Answer

Hastings, Bexhill, Battle, St Leonards, Rye, Eastbourne, Folkestone, and the towns and villages in between. If you're not sure whether you're in our area, ring Lisa on 01424 855882 and she'll tell you straight away.

Question 6

Do you fit vinyl and laminate as well as carpet?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We fit vinyl, LVT (luxury vinyl tile), and laminate, in homes and small commercial properties. Stuart will bring samples of all of those to the home visit if you'd like to compare them with carpet.

Question 7

Do you do remnants and end-of-roll carpets?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We hold a regularly updated stock of carpet remnants at strong discounts, particularly useful if you're carpeting a smaller room or just one bedroom. Have a look at the remnants page for current stock, or ask Lisa.

Question 8

Do you offer a discount for older customers?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We offer 10% off the full job (carpet plus fitting) for customers aged 65 and over. No need to ask twice, just mention it when Lisa books your visit.

Question 9

Are you insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We carry full public liability insurance and have eight years of reviews on Checkatrade alongside Google and Trustpilot. Documents available on request.

Question 10

What happens if there's a problem after fitting?

Accepted Answer

Ring Lisa. We come back. Carpets occasionally need a re-stretch as they settle, the odd doorbar can need adjusting, and very occasionally there's a manufacturing fault on the carpet itself which we sort directly with the supplier. Whatever the issue, we put it right. We don't disappear after the invoice.

Can I pay in instalments?

We can talk through interest-free payment options at the home visit if that's helpful. Most customers pay a deposit when the order goes in and the balance on the day of fitting.

Question 12

Do I have to book a home visit, or can I just buy online?

Accepted Answer

Most of our customers book a home visit because it's the easiest way to choose a carpet that suits the room. We do also sell remnants directly with delivery and fitting available, see the remnants page for current stock.
